Abstract:With the opening up policy and China’s entry into the WTO, foreign trade has developed quickly, and plays an increasingly important role in the international markets. Owing to differences of linguistic systems, transition of language in the business activity is indispensible. Communication and understanding are significant in business activities. Thus it is quite necessary to translate Business English. 

The whole thesis, guided by Venuti’s foreignization and domestication strategies, mainly explores the methods of translating Business English. Compared with common English, Business English is more concise and subjective. Business English translation should comply with three principles: faithfulness, exactness and consistency. Business texts are informative. Thus domestication is a major translation policy, which could be reflected on lexical, syntactic and textual levels. And foreignization is indispensable in some cases. It is a good way of translation at lexical and syntactic levels.
